 According to national statistics, a fifth of Arkansans have a disability. Most everyone know someone with a disability. Still, people with disabilities remain disadvantaged. It‘s DDC’s mission to change that by making certain that people with disabilities enjoy full participation as valued Arkansans. To accomplish this, the Council and its staff work with the many other state and federal government agencies and not-for-profit organizations to increase educational, employment and social opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.
