The Council's principal function is the support of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through advocating for needed improvements and changes in the service system. Among the Council's activities are:

State Conference
A yearly event where participants are encouraged to learn about the latest innovations in service and support programs;

Grants and Projects
Council funded projects in which the primary objective is to improve employment, transitional assistance, supported living, education and training programs and other person-centered services.

Information and Referral
Provides information on resources, programs, services and support available from national, state and local organizations.
